FAQ about Thai Elite Family Excursion Membership
Once the Elite application is submitted, an immigration background check is run by the Thai immigration authorities. It could take 1 to 3 months depending on the nationality of the applicant. Once completed, applicants receive an Approval Letter by email and a payment request. The confirmation of payment can take up to 7 working days. Upon confirmation, the applicant should request an appointment at least 5 working days in advance to affix the Elite Visa in the passport. Please contact an agent such as ThaiElite-Express to confirm the processing time based on your nationality.
The required documents for the application process are limited to the correct application form duly completed and signed, scanned copy of passport (bio page), scanned copies of entry/exit stamps/old visas to Thailand in the current passport, a high-resolution picture in color on white background, scan of the signed PDPA form about the new Data Protection Law and a proof of relationship such as a marriage certificate, birth vertificate or family book.
The copy of the applicant passport (bio page) is required. It will be sent to the Thai Immigration office for the background check. The due diligence of the immigration offer will check whether the applicant is blacklisted, on a watching-list or anything that would prevent you to obtain the Visa.
An applicant can apply for a Thailand Elite Membership while holding a Non-Immigrant (B) Visa, but the Non-Immigrant (B) Visa and work permit must be cancelled before affixing the Visa.
According to Immigration Bureau of Thailand, Thailand Elite Members are still required to do the 90-Day Report if they spent more than 90 days consecutively in Thailand. 90-Day reporting can be done in person with the immigration office in the area of residence and online from the second time (for each entry) onwards. Thailand Elite can also assist its members who can drop off their passport at Thailand Privilege Card Co., LTD Head Office on Sathorn Road for the 90-day reporting.
Members would need to provide a scan copy of the new passport to Thailand Elite service by email, then a appointment will be fixed to affix an Elite Visa to the new passport.

The Thailand Elite Family Excursion is a long-term visa categorized under Tourist Visa (Privilege Entry Visa “PE”) allowing residency in Thailand along with special privileges for a period of 5 years.
Elite member can apply to a Thai driving license. They would get a 2-year Thai Driving License. Members can submit their application at any Department of Land Transport office in the country. An Elite Personal Liaison service can assist members for the document submission process at the Department of Land & Transport Chatuchak office, upon request.

You can apply to an Elite Visa even if you overstayed in Thailand. However, if your overstay record is during your current stay, then you will need to exit Thailand before being able to affix the Elite Visa to your passport.
If the overstay of the applicant is from a previous stay, then there is no need to leave Thailand to get successfully approved and affix the Elite Visa to the passport. However, if the stay is during the current stay, then the applicant should exit the country to get the Elite approved and being able to affix the Elite visa.

Elite members can request the assistance of an Elite Personal Assistant (EPA) via the Member Contact Center.
Complementary spa treatments can be book through the Member Contact Center by informing the name of the spa, preferred date and time, and preferred type of massage. The reservation should be made no less than 6h in advance.
Complementary golf courses can be book through the Member Contact Center by informing the name of the golf course, preferred date and time, and group name (if any). The reservation policy depends on the golf course, but note that only one month in advance reservations are accepted.
Elite members can avoid going to Bangkok immigration office themselves, by dropping their passport at Thailand Elite Office on Sathorn Road for their 90-day report.
Thailand Elite can assist its members for their 90-day report. Upon request, they can also assist members in their bank account opening or driving license for instance.
The Elite Visa is categorized as long-term tourist visa, thus members cannot work in Thailand with it. However, members can apply to a business visa and work permit while holding their Elite. Their membership will still continue until expiration of it. Members will still be able to use Elite services as usual, except for the 90-day reporting, stay extension and transferring visa or arrival stamp into new passport.
The certificate of residence can be issued can be issued either by the embassy of the member, or by the immigration office in the residence area of the member.
