Eligibility Categories for the Thailand LTR Visa
Wealthy Global Citizens
- Personal income: min. USD 80,000/year in the past 2 years.
- Holding at least USD 1 million in assets.
- A total investment of at least USD 500,000 in Thai government bonds, direct investments in Thai-registered companies, or Thai real estate.
- Min. USD 50,000 coverage or social security benefits insuring treatment in Thailand or at least USD 100,000 deposit
Wealthy Pensioners
- Personal income: min. USD 80,000/year in the past 2 years.
- If personal income is between USD 40,000- USD 80,000, applicants Must invest USD 250,000 in Thailand combined in Thai government bonds OR direct investment in companies registered in Thailand OR Thai property
- Applicants must be over 50 years old.
- Min. USD 50,000 coverage or social security benefits insuring treatment in Thailand or at least USD 100,000 deposit
Work-from-Thailand
- Personal income : min. USD 80,000/year in the past 2 years.
- If personal income is between USD 40,000- USD 80,000, applicants must show additional documents
i.e., a Master’s degree, or higher - Work Experience: Min. 5 years over the past 10 years
- Company Requirements: Company in operation for at least 3 years with combined audited revenue of min. USD 150 million in the last 3 years
- Min. USD 50,000 coverage or social security benefits insuring treatment in Thailand or at least USD 100,000 deposit
Highly-Skilled
- Personal income : min. USD 80,000/year in the past 2 years.
- If personal income is between USD 40,000- USD 80,000, applicants must show additional documents i.e., a certificate for master’s degree or higher in sciences and technology
- Work Experience: Min. 5 years over the past 10 years in targeted industry
- Company Requirements: Employment contract with a Thai or foreign company with an assignment to work in Thailand, or employment with higher education, research, specialized training, or Thai government agency
- Min. USD 50,000 coverage or social security benefits insuring treatment in Thailand or at least USD 100,000 deposit
