A Step-by-Step Guide to Applying for a Thailand Elite Visa 2023

The Thailand Elite Visa (also called Thailand Elite Membership or the Thailand Elite Card) is a unique route to getting residency status in Thailand quickly, efficiently and affordably. (UPDATE JAN 2023)

Is Thailand Elite a Privilege Visa?

This is a long- term Thailand visa.  Its classification is “PE” or a “Privileged Entry Visa.” Residency status is for a designated period of time (5, 10 or 20 years) in return for a fee starting at 600,000 baht for 5 years’ visa. Once your visa has expired, you can decide renew for an additional 5 to 20 years.

What is the range of durations with the Thailand Elite Visa?

Step 2 decide what level interests you.  There are a number, for different periods of time (5, 10 or 20 years), with different privileges, with or without dependent family and at different costs.

Is the Thailand Elite Visa renewable in 5-year periods?

Can I bring my Family on the Thailand Elite Card?

Then in Step 5, consider dependent family. Two of the six current Thailand Elite Visa programs do not cover dependents, the others all do, with or without additional fees. These programs such as Thailand Elite Family Premium, Thailand Elite Family Extension, Thailand Elite Family Alternative, Thailand Elite Superiority Extension, and Thailand Elite Privilege Access are eligible to include family members such as legally married (or civil union) spouses, children (no age limit) and grand-parents.

What is the cost of the Thailand Elite Visa?

Step 6 having determined all the above it is straightforward to pick the best package for you.  The price of the Thailand Elite Visa ranges from THB 600,000 (approximately USD 18,200 at time of writing) to THB 2,140,000 (approximately USD 65,000) for the 20-year Ultimate Privilege Grand Package.
